Silivculture and Ecology Laboratory (SEL)
Thank you for visiting the Silviculture and Ecology Laboratory. Our lab is housed within Clemson University's Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation. It conducts applied ecology research in forested ecosystems in the United States, Canada, and China, with an emphasis on impacts of management (e.g., silvicultural practices), disturbance (e.g., fire, hurricane, ice storm, insect/pathogen), and global change (e.g., drought, invasive plants). Our research falls within the following sub-disciplines: silviculture, restoration ecology, disturbance (fire) ecology, Invasion ecology, and global change ecology. The lab was founded in 2002 and is directed by Dr. G. Geoff Wang. We are physically located in 217 Lehotsky Hall. In addition to this website, you can also visit us on Facebook.
